Six Blades of Kojiro Best Path to Collect Every Sword
6 August 2026 | 71
The Six Blades of Kojiro is one of the most thrilling Mythic Tales in Ghost of Tsushima, forcing players to track down five deadly Straw Hat assassins across the Toyotama region. While you can challenge these dangerous duelists in any order, creating an optimized route saves valuable travel time and prevents unnecessary backtracking. By following a streamlined geographic sequence, you can efficiently conquer each combatant and earn the ultimate armor reward.
Starting the Journey in Southern Toyotama
Before you begin the hunt, you must officially initiate the quest in Act 2 of the main story. Travel to the hidden sanctuary of Umugi Cove on the southwestern coast and speak with Yamato the musician. He will mark the locations of your opponents on your map, establishing a clear framework for your upcoming battles.
To minimize your horse travel, the best route begins by targeting the closest duelist situated just northeast of Umugi Cove. Head directly toward the Old Kanazawa Marsh to face Yasumasa at the Duel in the Drowning Marsh. This boggy battlefield demands quick reflexes and precise parrying to counter his aggressive strikes.
Clearing the Eastern Coastlines
Once Yasumasa is defeated, ride northeast toward the rocky shores of the Musashi Coast to find your next opponent. Here, you will encounter Kiyochika waiting patiently beneath a roaring waterfall. Defeating him requires utilizing defensive stances effectively to block his rapid combinations.
From the waterfall, continue moving north along the eastern edge of the map toward the Cloud Ridge Shrine area. Below the cliffs, you will find Tomotsugu waiting on a scenic beach for the Duel For crashing waves. Taking down this warrior clears the entire eastern sector of the territory, letting you focus on the remaining targets.
Navigating the Northern Territory
With three swordsmen down, navigate northwest toward the center of the northern region near Yamabushi Peak. In a secluded area to the east of the peak, Kanetomo stands ready to test your blade. His erratic attack timing requires you to rely heavily on dodging unblockable strikes.
The final assassin, Hirotsune, is located further west at the Duel Among the Spider Lilies, situated near the Field of the Equinox Flower. This battlefield is visually distinct, filled with vibrant red flora that sets an epic tone for the encounter. Keep your distance and look for openings immediately after he finishes his heavy attack strings.
The Final Showdown at Omi Monastery
After successfully defeating all five Straw Hats, return briefly to Umugi Cove to update the musician on your progress. Yamato will then reveal that Kojiro himself is waiting for a final encounter in a sacred cave. Your ultimate destination lies in the far northwestern corner of Toyotama at the Omi Monastery.
Follow the guiding wind past the large red tree near the local waterfalls to locate the hidden entrance to the Mirror of Sacred Light. Inside this cave, Kojiro will challenge you to the most difficult duel of the entire questline. Overcoming his ferocious onslaught rewards you with the highly coveted Kensei Armor set.
